Jason Wu<\/font>! <\/font>The designer has been named the Artistic Director of BOSS<\/font>, Hugo Boss’ womenswear collection. According to the Telegraph, the new role will see Wu in charge of Hugo Boss’s main womenswear ready-to-wear and accessory collections. <\/font><\/p>\n

Wu will continue to design for his eponymous label<\/font>, which is based in New York City. As the head honcho at BOSS, the designer will work with the team in Germany and also establish a New York studio for the brand. His first BOSS collection will be Pre-Fall 2013, debuting this winter, followed by a Fall 2014 collection presented at New York Fashion Week in February. <\/font><\/p>\n

The new job is a big one for Wu, who has previously made his name with his own Jason Wu collection. His most famous client is, of course, <\/font>Michelle Obama<\/font>, who <\/font>chose to wear Wu at not one but<\/font> <\/font>two inaugural balls<\/font>. <\/font><\/p>\n

In recent years, Wu has also expanded with <\/font>a diffusion line, Miss Wu<\/font>; <\/font>a collection for Target<\/font>; and <\/font>collaborations with brands such as Lancome<\/font> and <\/font>Swarovski<\/font>.<\/font> <\/p>\n
