PEARLY WONG is an independent designer label in which the brand DNA focuses on a monochrome palate and multi-functional garments whilst integrating unique materials and textures into the designs.<\/font><\/p>\n

The eponymous label is founded by Pearly, who studied at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York. With parents already in the garment industry, Malaysian born Pearly Wong returned to her home country in 2012 and launched her label, showing at Kuala Lumpur Fashion week in 2013 and in 2014.<\/font><\/p>\n

In 2013, Pearly was named the winner of Fashion Pitch in Malaysia, an award given to young designers to spur the creative industry in the region. She went on to receive the award by the prime minister of Malaysia in 2014.<\/font><\/p>\n

For FW15 collection, Pearly draws inspiration from the decline of the environment and convertible utilitarian clothing – this collection is an exciting study of texture and shape.<\/font><\/p>\n
