Guido Maria Kretschmer started his career in fashion design at the age of 9, when he received his first sewing machine.<\/font><\/p>\n

From an early age, Kretschmer knew that his passion for design and fabrics would determine his future life. In 1989, Kretschmer founded his company and fashion label GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER with headquarters in M\u00fcnster (Germany) and Palma de Mallorca (Spain). In 2004, Kretschmer fulfilled his lifelong dream of having his own Haute Couture line GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER Couture.<\/font> <\/p>\n

Within a short amount of time, Kretschmer became one of the most successful designers in Germany with the press starting to call him \u201cthe German Valentino\u201d. His work as a fashion designer is unique, exciting and confidently stylish. His versatility is reflected in both of his lines: For his Premium Collection, he designs high quality cocktail dresses and glamorous evening gowns. The GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER Collection mainly focuses on Ready-to-Wear looks and business wear. Stars as Charlize Theron, Alexandra Maria Lara, Christine Neubauer, Barbara Sch\u00f6neberger and top model Karolina Kurkova trust his fashion expertise and love wearing his couture on the red carpet.<\/font> <\/p>\n

In 2013, Kretschmer published his first book \u201cAnziehungskraft: Stil kennt keine Gr\u00f6\u00dfe\u201d, which quickly became a bestseller and turned him into a successful author. At the end of 2014, his second book \u201cEine Bluse macht noch keinen Sommer: Geschichten aus dem Kleiderschrank\u201d was published. Both books stayed on the bestseller list for weeks.<\/font> <\/p>\n

In January 2012, his infamous styling documentary \u201cShopping Queen\u201c and \u201cPromi Shopping Queen\u201c  started  airing on the German TV channel VOX, where he serves as a competent and likeable styling judge. Thanks to Kretschmer and his honest and witty opinions, \u201cShopping Queen\u201d grew to be a cult programme on German TV and is one of the most watched programmes of this genre.<\/font> <\/p>\n

Further, he was a judge on \u201cDas perfekte Model\u201d on VOX as well as \u201cDas Supertalent\u201d, the German version of \u201cBritain\u2019s Got Talent\u201d, and host of the RTL show \u201cHotter Than My Daughter\u201d. His newest show \u201cDeutschlands sch\u00f6nste Frau\u201d started airing in February 2015 on RTL.<\/font> <\/p>\n

For his achievements, Kretschmer was awarded with the \u201cGoldene Kamera\u201d, the \u201cDeutscher Fernsehpreis\u201d, the \u201cGoldene Henne\u201d as well as the Austrian TV award \u201cRomy\u201d for the second time in 2015.<\/font> <\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n
