Clear silhouettes are combined with innovative fabric developments, knitted yarns with a unique haptic sense, as well as expressive print-designs, are the focus of the ready-to-wear collections. Close to the spirit of time and a big passion for detail, Malaika Raiss and her team are developing conceptual high-end fashion with a fun-feminine twist. Essential pieces made by women for women, which are as strong and changeable as the character of their wearer.

The collection includes women´s ready-to-wear, knitwear, leather-accessories and a small selection of fashion jewellery.

Evento celebrado el pasado 12 de Julio de 2014 en el Salón de la Fama en Toa Baja con el propósito principal de recaudar artículos de primera necesidad para ser donados al Hogar Ruth, organización dirigida a prestar servicios a víctimas de la violencia doméstica y a sus hijos. La actividad giró en torno a concienciar del problema existente en la sociedad y a llevar el mensaje que de una forma u otra con nuestras acciones podemos levantar la voz en contra de la violencia. Como apertura se proyecto un video de reflexión del tema central de la actividad (Ciclo de violencia domestica) “Me mando flores hoy” El concepto fue reflejar a través del talento y arte de los diseñadores, maquillistas, modelos y fotógrafos un mensaje de NO a la Violencia. La pasarela incluía una estampa donde las modelos presentaban los accesorios de la boutique y los diseñadores que participaron esa noche haciendo un complemento de pasarela y foto poses. Desfilaron en pasarela las colecciones en el siguiente orden: Le Menina Boutique, Brendanette Bowsandmore , Wanda Lazos, Yurico, Lyanlynn Accesories Designs y Grisel Barrios.

ISABELL DE HILLERIN Spring Summer 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK BERLIN

The label ‘isabell de hillerin’ stands for elegance, structured cuts and details which remind of an old tradition. In recent years the ancient fabrics industry in Romania and Moldova has been driven to near extinction. To strengthen this traditional artisan industry, her label works with local manufacturers to support the production of handmade materials. Her aim is to push these highly skilled craftsmen by publicizing and utilizing their cultural skills in a way that hasn’t been done before.

Llega el primer “reality show” puertorriqueño dedicado a la moda: Revelación Moda

El próximo mes de agosto llega a la televisión boricua el “reality show” Revelación Moda, donde se buscará la nueva estrella del diseño en Puerto Rico.

El primer programa local dedicado completamente a la moda se trasmitirá los domingos por Univisión Puerto Rico en horario estelar.

“La idea surge a raíz del interés de diseñadores nuevos que deseaban presentarse en la pasarela de San Juan Moda. De ahí decidimos crear un evento en colaboración con el Hotel San Juan donde unido a el reality show con Univisión diera vida a esta nueva plataforma. De esta forma, encontrar esa nueva revelación que se integra al selecto grupo de diseñadores de San Juan Moda”, explicó Carlos Bermúdez presidente de San Juan Moda.

Diez diseñadores enfrentarán diferentes retos semanales en busca de ser la nueva estrella del diseño en Puerto Rico. El ganador se presentará en la edición Primera Verano 2015 de San Juan Moda, que se llevará a cabo en el Hotel San Juan durante el mes de septiembre.

La conducción del programa está a cargo de la reconocida Top Model y Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2009, Jennifer Colón. Mientras un jurado compuesto por el diseñador de modas, Rubén Darío, la editora de la revista Caras, Patricia de La Torre, y el relacionista público y productor de eventos de moda Julio Núñez, serán responsables del proceso de eliminación y encontrar la nueva revelación de la moda.

Durante el proceso, los diseñadores recibirán consejos y mentoría de la legendaria y simpática Carlota Alfaro y la Fashion Stylist Claudia Madrid. El público podrá mantenerse informado y ver material exclusivo backstage a través de las redes sociales. Para esto, la producción prepara videos durante y luego de los retos con Mayra Matos y el estilista Juan Rodríguez, quienes presentarán más a fondo las emociones vividas por los participantes.

“Es un proyecto local, divertido, con un enfoque totalmente real que llega para ampliar la plataforma que ofrecemos en San Juan Moda. Agradecemos el apoyo de Univisión Puerto Rico en respaldar esta industria local y permitir que éstos 10 nuevos diseñadores se den a conocer ”, agregó Carlos Bermúdez presidente de San Juan Moda, primer evento de moda durante una semana completa que se celebra dos veces al año en el Hotel San Juan.

"Univisión Puerto Rico sigue apoyando las producciones locales independientes y el talento local, esta vez con la transmisión de Revelación Moda”, afirmó Luani Pellot, Directora de Programación de la estación.

Las modelos que servirán de gancho para los diseñadores de Revelación Moda son de agencias de todas partes del país como Annjannette, Be a Model, Cromo, Element, G Models, Krone, Likuid, Mayra Matos, Model Creators, Optima y Única by Desiree Lowry. El estilista Manolo González y su equipo de profesionales de MG Salon son los responsables del arreglo de todas las modelos.

Revelación Moda promete adentrarse al fascinante mundo de la moda, llevándole al público todo el glamour, emociones y tensiones que se viven en y detrás de la pasarela.

Los participantes son: Kelvin Giovannie, Orlando Figueroa, Emmanuel Acosta, Liz Charleene, Elda Samano, Wanda Beauchamp, Sulyvette Díaz, Orlando Emmanuel, Javier Arnaldo, y Janice Emilia.

The two young women Sedina Halilovic and Jelena Hofmann have shared a deep friendship for over 12 years. In spring 2010, holyGhost was born out of their love for fashion. Sedina, the creative spirit (born 1982 in Munich) has studied Fashion Management at AMD in Munich and is responsible for the design. Jelena, the managing spirit (born 1983 in Belgrade/ Serbia) has graduated with a degree in economics from State University in Munich. She is the Head of Sales and Marketing.
