Born in Berchtesgaden, Marcel Ostertag returned to Munich after his graduation from the University of Arts / Central St Martins College London. Whilst studying in London, Marcel worked on numerous ventures, including projects with Paul Smith, Dunhill and Burberry.

PERRET SCHAAD was launched in 2009 by Johanna Perret and Tutia Schaad.
The two designers met at Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, where they got interested in each other’s contrasting creative personas. Shortly after graduation, they took the challenge to bring their complimentary visions and contrasting ideas together.

Since 2011, the duo collaborates with Görtz – a well-known German shoe retailer – to design 2 exclusive and limited shoe collections. In January 2012, while the first collection will be available in Görtz stores, they will be showing the result of their second season at MBFWB.

The designers apply their draping research to traditional yet innovative pattern cutting techniques. Elegant fluidity accompanied by feminine structures describes lines and volumes in a world they created. They embrace their obsession with details, playfulness with colors and curiosity for materials.

Both designers gained professional experience at international design studios such as Swash and Givenchy. This history, in combination with their own creative endeavours as PERRET SCHAAD, has led this team to give meticulous attention to fabric quality, finishing and to cherish savoir-faire.
PERRET SCHAAD creates an atmosphere and a look. One that is chic and cool, sketched with edge and perfection. The passform is highly analysed, to draw a natural and new silhouette.
