Berlin based designer duo Jesko Wilke and Maria Poweleit are the creative minds behind high-end fashion label GLAW. Both met during their studies at the international fashion school ESMOD. They decided to bundle their creative work and founded the label after their successful graduation in 2011. GLAW celebrates the femininity and connects power to fragility. Silk, batik leather combined with lace create the distinctive GLAW-Look.

Born and raised in Berlin and the German countryside, Frida Weyer graduated from Esmod in 2001. A signature style of feminine tailoring and elegant confidence was immediately apparent in her first collection. Frida Weyer launched her personal fashion line under her own name and showed her first collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in January 2009. Her collections include women’s evening, cocktail and bridal wear. After only two collections, in 2009 she won several awards in Germany and enjoyed great success during the 8 seasons of her eponymous label FRIDA WEYER. In 2013, she was appointed the Creative Director of Meissen Couture, an international luxury brand.

Dawid Tomaszewski started his career at Sonia Rykel in Florence in 2000. In 2003 he worked for Alexis Mabille in Paris, whilst here he was honoured with the ‘Zlota Tredka’ award for Polish fashion. In 2008 Dawid Tomaszewski created a special collection for Reebok and a charity t-shirt for Hallhuber. He also showed his limited handbag edition, which has been created with design hotels at London Fashion Week. The same year in which he became vice-champion in the Designer for Tomorrow contest. In 2008 he obtained the premium young designer award and worked as a design assistant at Comme des Garçons. After leaving Comme des Garçons he founded his eponymous label DAWID TOMASZEWSKI, and ever since presents his collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. In 2011 he obtained the “Golden Thread” award and had the honour of representing Germany in the Woolmark prize.
During his career he has collaborated with numerous prestigious companies such as Swarovski, Austermann, Peter Kaiser, Tanah Rhea, Très Bonjour and Roeckl.

What are clothes supposed to reveal about a person? "Nothing", says Alexander Brenninkmeijer. "My clothes don’t tell you a thing; but the wearer knows the feeling of fine silk, satin or cashmere and the clothes always fit well. That’s what I call luxury."
Brenninkmeijer prefers to play down the label’s exclusivity in a variation of themes. Tennis stripes on coat fabrics, leather cuffs or headbands: his current collection combines trendy, casual details to create a sombre Royal chic.
For this season, Brenninkmeijer drew his inspiration from the American-influenced informality that he encountered in Wes Anderson’s cult film "The Royal Tenenbaums" (2001).
Mesmerised by the fragility of the characters, Brenninkmeijer believes that their defining cha-racteristics are reflected in the way they dress.

The label BARRE NOIRE was established in the summer of 2009 by Timm Süssbrich. Prior to this, he spent three years studying at a Berlin fashion school and was able to gain experience with notable labels in Paris, Berlin and Los Angeles. For his own label the Berlin designer has always followed a strict motif: conceptional forms and clear colourings avoiding sensationalism and severe fabric contortions – nonchalence and elegance are combined in one look.

Anja Gockel is one of the most successful fashion designers Made in Germany. After her studies in Hamburg she received a scholarship for the reputable Central Saint Martins College in London and worked with legendary Vivienne Westwood afterwards. She created her own label ANJA GOCKEL in 1996. Four years later, she returned to Mainz and launched ANJA GOCKEL GmbH. Her collections are sold in the best shops throughout Germany and in 20 countries worldwide. Her designs are worn by Queen Silvia of Sweden, Marietta Slomka, Ann-Kathrin Kramer and Martina Hill, to name just a few. Besides international top models as Alec Wek and Lily Cole, the 72-year-old Veruschka alias Countess of Lehndorff and tattoo model Lexy Hell walk for ANJA GOCKEL fashion shows. In March 2012, Anja Gockel established the first ANJA GOCKEL Monolabel-Store in Mainz next to her fashion studio. Since 2013, the winner of the German Lifestyle Award 2012/2013 also sells her fashion online under www.anja-gockel-shop.com.
