Daniel Blechman – Head of design of SOPOPULAR – was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1971. In his early childhood, he moved to Berlin with his family and his sister, where he grew up. Attracted by the cultural gush rising in London, Daniel Blechman moved to UK in the 90ies, where he graduated from Richmond University, with a bachelor of Interior Design in 1996. Back in Berlin, he guided his sensibility toward fashion and started to work as a Managing Director for the Public Image Store, introducing the first collections of edgy designers such as Raf Simons or Alexander McQueen. In 2000 he started to work as a stylist for international agencies such as Gimme 5 from London, House of Orange from Amsterdam or M4 from Berlin. During this time, the desire rised in him to start his own label. In 2008 he launched SOPOPULAR. The label stands for a reduced and pragmatic style of men’s fashion. Classic cuts and narrow silhouettes are broken with edgy streetwear elements and futuristic design details. Collections that reflect the desire for fashion and individual needs of the designer Daniel Blechman. His creativity is influenced by many and diverse artistic fields and is constantly enriched by everyday life and the simple things in life, but especially by friendships and family.

Before starting his own business, Hien Le observed the fashion scene from different points of view: born in Laos, he completed a training as a clothing tailor in Berlin. Several assignments followed, naming amongst others the french “Marie Claire”, Veronique Branquinho in Antwerp and Ideal Tradeshow, Berlin. He graduated his fashion design studies at the University of Applied Sciences (HTW) in Berlin in 2008. Thence Hien Le switched to the Berlin based “Agency V”, this time being responsible for sales. After two years he decided to use his long-time experiences in designing, manufacturing and selling for his own independent fashion label. This allows him to now realize his own aesthetic ideas, which had formed over the years working in the fashion business. Hien Le’s fashion label debut collection for Spring/Summer 2011 was launched during Berlin Fashion Week in summer 2010. With his third collection he won the third prize of the fashion contest "Start your fashion business" in July 2011 and making his first runway debut during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. He has been nominated as “Best Newcomer” by the international fashion trade magazine Sportswear International. Besides concentrating on discreet cuts and the subtle application of details, he consequently maintains his claim to manufacture clothing that combines diligent design with accurate workmanship, everything produced in Germany. Responding to a great feedback and an increasing demand of his first collection, Hien Le is now available in France, Switzerland and Germany. In future collections the following criteria will be regarded as a continual pursuit: simplicity, style and quality.

Since summer 2011 she has been showing her collections at the Fashion
Week in Berlin, including a presentation of her Autumn/Winter 2012 collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin last year.

You´re attention loving? Well, you’ll be attention getting! Wearing Lena Hoschek places you directly into the spotlight of the ultra feminine. After assisting Vivienne Westwood at her London studio, Lena Hoschek started her own label in 2006 at the age of 24. Her collections do not follow trends or the general conception of ‘cool’, they are simply a reflection of what has fascinated her since her childhood: the female ideal of the 40s and 50s, craftsmanship, high-end tailoring, traditional materials and patterns but also rock ‘n’ roll and punk music, tattoos, bad guys and fast cars. Celebrating the erotics of the Pin-up who didn’t take themselves too seriously, Lena Hoschek’s clothes are made for all the Sophia Lorens and Marilyns of today. Lena Hoschek’s collections take you back to times when women were real women and men were real men. I bet, when designing, she secretly dreams of Rhett Butler.

VALENTINO MEN’S FALL WINTER 2013/14 COLLECTION

12103-men-s-collection-fall-winter-2012-13

The Fall/Winter 2013-14 men’s fashion show held its debut in Paris joining the other collections of the house. The collection had a modernist feel based on a search for clarity and simplicity, setting the tone for the new Valentino man.

Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpoalo Piccioli approached the menswear collection with couture instincts yet perspective was altered. The collection showed their desire to build an ideal wardrobe. Couture tailoring reflected a British influence without losing Italian sensuality.

Capes created mysterious movement, leather bonded coats had strong architectural lines and suits were sartorial sleek. Fabrics included houndstooth and prince-of-wales check, black watch tartan as well as masculine checks.

Accessories included derby shoes made of a combination of different materials and Chelsea boots with transparent soles. There are triple clutches with wide bands and small wallets with elasticized bands.  The look is elegant, understated and sleek: the quintessence of flawless imperfection.
